This is a space limited and unique opportunity to meet and network with fellow Grid Engine HPC users and vendors in a relaxed and friendly environment.

This two-day summit is designed to offer attendees highly specialized and focused information from Univa, our customers and our partners. This event is a must-attend for administrators, users, developers and managers of HPC and Big Data system who seek inside information that will help them approach the tasks today and to arm themselves with the knowledge and insight to solve tomorrow’s challenges with confidence.

The two days will include presentations of customer best practices, case studies, Univa technical and roadmap presentations and partner presentations. Topics will range from advances in hardware and cloud computing to the convergence of Grid Engine and Big Data.

The Summit includes lunch on both days, as well as evening activities on Monday and a gala reception on Monday night. Attendees will also get a chance to meet the Grid Engine developers in an informal setting, as they will host the Monday evening cocktail reception.

The Grid Engine Evolution Summit is the ultimate chance to become the Grid Engine expert in your HPC environment.

How to Get to Regensburg

Getting to Regensburg by Plane:

You have three convenient options:

Fly into Munich Airport (MUC) then either take a rental car or an airport shuttle bus (http://www.airportliner.com/index.php?lang=en) or take the local bus #635 from either one of the terminals to Freising main station and then a train to Regensburg. The trip takes about 1 hr by car and 1.5 hrs by bus/train.
Fly into Nuremburg Airport (NUE) then either take a rental car or an airport shuttle bus (http://www.airportliner.com/index.php?lang=en). The trip takes about 1 hr by car and 1.5 hrs by bus.
Fly into Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) then take a train to Regensburg. The train ride takes about 3 hrs and this may be a quicker option than stopping over in FRA and waiting for a connecting flight to MUC or NUE.

Getting to Regensburg by Car:

Regensburg is conveniently located on an intersection of two major highways, the A3 and the A93. Munich and Nuremburg are the closest big cities and they are both roughly 1 hr away from Regensburg. But also Frankfurt is only 3 hrs away or Berlin about 4 hrs.

Getting to Regensburg by Train:

Regensburg has a major train station and is connected to Germany's hight speed train services. There are hourly connections to and from locations such as Munich, Nuremburg, Frankfurt, Berlin or Vienna. Connections can be checked and tickets can be booked here
